Work for better environment
Some tips towards a healthy environment:
- Carry cloth, jute or paper bag to the market
- Don’t break old things, rather think of fixing them
- Avoid using unnecessary use of lights, fans and heaters.
- Wear extra layer of clothes at home instead of turning on the heater
- Reuse water whenever possible. Kitchen water can be used for watering plants
- Don’t keep the tap running while having bath, brushing teeth, shaving or washing dishes. It wastes about 2 liters of water every minute
- Don’t waste clothes and kitchen utensils in water bodies
- Avoid throwing flowers, sweets, puja materials into rivers and streams. It degrades the quality of water
- Use car in pool. Two or four can ride as cheaply as one
- If you stop your car beyond one minute, it is more fuel efficient to restart your car
- Plant a sapling. Even in urban settings, you can grow herbs and flowers in pots.
